To the three Republican senators who voted against letting thousands of Americans die, thank you.

On behalf of all the marginalized people who are struggling to hold on right now, thank you so much.

I never got to directly benefit from "Obamacare," because since it was passed I've only lived in states that refused the Medicaid expansion. But it's sickening to see people who are able to live their lives and create art because of it, fret over the possibility of losing it. We've already lost some of our best.

I don't think that this fight is over. But I want to believe a decisive blow has been struck. And I want to believe we can learn the lessons we need to, without everything getting too much worse.

Things. How does one do them?

I think it was [personal profile] siderea who recently posted a thing about all the stuff you're supposed to be able to do, to live a fulfilling life, and how most people only do a few of those. Especially if they're disabled.

I'm trying to take in all this stuff I need to learn about a completely new country, and everything else is falling behind. We still don't have internets to stream with, and writing fanfics and replies? Painting miniatures? Keeping up with my reading page and RSS? Even playing tabletop / video games? When am I supposed to do those things? To say nothing of trying to write for the moneys, whether from Patreon or corporate overlords.

How do I thing, everyone?
