Yes plz c: The Vita / PS TV has the definitive "Plus" versions of the Arland and Dusk trilogies, but Atelier Sophie (part of the new Mysterious trilogy which doesn't yet have Plus versions) is already one of the best-selling games on Steam. So if you have anything that can play it, that might be a good entry point!

I still love Atelier Shallie though, and the post-apocalyptic world of the Dusk trilogy. I really needed to see cute and relatable characters coping with apocalyptic climate change, and using science to understand it. ^^;

Also Demi-chan! [personal profile] chozomind and I have been watching that series, and it's a perfect example of what we were talking about re: characterization and fanservice. Because it's like, they used the framing device of almost a harem anime, to discuss serious issues of queerness and marginalization. (I especially liked the episode about passing.)

The fanservice can get pretty blatant, and I think it and the adult / child boundaries are a bit problematic. ^^; But I feel like it's coming from a place where things like, characters groping each other (which only happened once so far) is considered a normal thing to put in a show, sort of like how USian media keeps either excluding women completely or using Superheroes And Gun Violence as its framing device.

... and now I realize the X-Men franchise may be the US equivalent of Demi-chan. Holy crap.
