Content note: Massive spoilers for We Know The Devil. Depressive musings.

But what’s most interesting to me is how comparatively soft Venus’s ending is. Venus is gentle. Venus doesn’t want to hurt anyone, herself or others. Venus is an angel, a being of light in one moment. And then, she’s stricken down by her loved ones. Venus makes no move to hurt her friends, Venus’s breaking point is a moment of realization, total self acceptance, in which she’s cut down by someone else, and I think that’s kind of where I’m at with it.

I mean this is one small piece of the puzzle, and I feel like these notes of mine really only fit in to a bigger picture when you start talking about the central focus of Two Vs. One; othering a sacrificial lamb to find stability in a system that demands it be done this way (and what it means to try and find a different way). And I’m not about to get into all that, I don’t have the know-how, but I do think that maybe, if this hasn’t been talked about it, it should be.

I died when I came out to Yuro, and I died when I came out to my family, and I died when they posted the election results, and I died and I died and I died.

How do I live?

Who will let me?

I can't make the world stop being horrible, or depression either. But I am glad you exist. I will defend you -- all of you -- if I can.

Is there anything I could do to help? Literally anything that occurs to you. If I can't do it, I'll say so. I hope there is.

*offers hugs to each and every person there*
